What can I do if my device is network- or carrier-locked?

A carrier-locked device cannot install or use a travel eSIM — the lock restricts it to the network of the carrier that sold it. To check on iPhone: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock — it should say “No SIM restrictions”. On Android look under Settings → Connections/Network (the menu varies by brand) or ask your carrier. If the device is locked, only the carrier that sold it can unlock it — contact them; unlocking is usually free once your contract or instalment plan is paid off. Note: if your device was unlocked very recently, the carrier may temporarily keep eSIM features disabled as a security measure — ask them to lift that restriction. Once the device is unlocked, install your AviaeSIM package as usual.
