Zain runs separate operations in each Gulf market, and the eSIM rules follow the country. In Saudi Arabia an existing Zain line is moved to an eSIM through the Zain app or a Zain shop for a fee of SAR 40.25, deducted from a prepaid balance or added to a postpaid bill; a request from abroad needs your ID or Iqama number, date of birth and verification through Nafath (biometric ID), and the QR code appears in the app once payment clears. Visitors buy a Visitor package instead — tiers from 30 to 399 SAR with 14-, 21- or 28-day validity, prices including 15% VAT, sold in all Zain channels and topped up through the app, recharge cards or SADAD; third-party guides list 5 GB with 100 minutes for 40 SAR a week and 20 GB with 400 minutes for 120 SAR a month. A visitor line is registered to the passport at the point of sale, and Saudi rules add biometric registration for new lines.

AviaeSIM's prepaid travel eSIM on the Zain networks covers Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Zambia and Sierra Leone with one online purchase and no registration — QR code by email, installed before you fly.
